OPEN ACCCESS POLICY
Journal of the Academy this is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative) definition of open access.

The documents belongs to the author and can share the document following the licence Creative Commons specified. The document can be share in institutional repositories and academic social networks. The opinions expressed belong to the author.
ETHICAL POLICIES
Journal of the Academy, is a scientific electronic journal belonging to the Association of Universities of Peru, ASUP.
Journal of the Academy rests on the thematic axes of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Basic Sciences and Exact Sciences, with the ultimate goal of the human condition in its plural, complex and interdependent nature in all its expressions. It receives the research and academic contributions that its pages offer to those who want to publish in it, without attempting by any means against the human person and all living beings on the planet.
The Journal of the Academy publishes research articles, studies and proposals in the specified dimensions.
The works presented must be original and unpublished without being simultaneously in the process of evaluation in other instances, such books or magazines in all their modalities, as well as having no editorial commitment.
Only articles approved through blind peer review will be published based on quality criteria, rigorous investigation, potential for reflection and transformation of educational social and cultural practices and that harmonize with the ethical principles expressed in our Mission and Vision. The authors from the moment they send their works are aware of the above and accept these conditions.
If the author of an article submitted and published in the Journal of the Academy wants to include it later in another publication, the journal or book in which it is published must clearly indicate the data of the original publication, with prior authorization requested from the Editor of the Journal of the Academy.
When the Editorial Committee of the Journal of the Academy is interested in including an article that has been previously published, it undertakes to request the corresponding authorization from the author or authors of said article and the Editor where it was published, placing itself at the foot of the title of the article. article, the original source and the corresponding authorizations.
Authors´´´´ Responsibilities
All authors or authors who wish to publish in the Journal of the Academy, must submit their work, through the email that is published in the Contact link or by the OJS system, on the dates established by the journal for the reception of the articles. Journal of the Academy has rules for authors of public access, which contain guidelines for the submission of articles and reviews, as well as editing rules.
Journal Academy is not responsible for legal-ethical actions of third parties, because the authors are responsible for the ideas expressed, which is accepted by the author.
Authors have a duty to make explicit that the text is their own and that the intellectual property rights of third parties are respected. If the author uses material that is not his property, it is his responsibility to make sure that he has the authorizations for the use, reproduction and publication of charts, graphs, maps, diagrams, photographs, etc.
Blind external peer evaluations can result in: accepted, accepted with modifications, or not accepted.
In the case of acceptance with modifications, the author agrees to take into account the evaluators' observations, as well as those of the Editor and the Editorial Committee, to carry out the requested adjustments within the established term. After the journal receives the modified article, the author will be informed of its complete approval. If the author does not respect the deadline stipulated by the Editor of the Journal of the Academy, the work will not be published. During the evaluation, both the names of the authors and the evaluators will be kept completely anonymous.
When the texts submitted to the journal's consideration are not accepted for publication, the Editor will send a written notification to the author explaining the reasons why his text will not be published. The decision is final and the creator of his work is immediately aware of this resolution.
During the editing process, the authors may be consulted by the Editor to resolve existing concerns. Both in the evaluation process and in the editing process, email is the preferred means of communication with authors. Questions, queries or suggestions will not be answered by any other means.
The Editor, after consulting the Director of the Journal of the Academy, reserves the last word on the publication of the articles and the number in which they will be published. That date will be met as long as the author submits all the documentation requested in the indicated period. The journal reserves the right to make minor style corrections.
Peer review / Evaluator responsibility
Upon receipt of an article, the Editor assesses whether it meets the basic requirements of the Journal Academy. The Editor together with the Direction, the Assistant Editor and the Editorial Team establish the first filter, taking into account format, quality and relevance, and after this first review, the articles that will initiate the arbitration process are defined. Notwithstanding the foregoing, said decision may fall to the Director, the Editor and the Assistant Editor, the Editorial Committee reserving the controversial cases, without with this determination, they are not informed of the quantity and quality of articles received and sent for his pronouncement. The texts are, in this instance, submitted to the evaluation of anonymous academic peers, which are known as blind peers and to the concept of the editorial team and the Editor. The result will be communicated to the author in a period of up to six months from receipt of the article. When the evaluation process exceeds this term, the Editor must inform the author of such situation.
All articles that pass the first review filter will be submitted to an arbitration process by blind peer reviewers, who will be able to make suggestions to the author, indicating significant references that have not been included in the work. These readers are, for the most part, external to the institution and their choice is to ensure that they have no conflicts of interest with the topics on which they must conceptualize. If there is any doubt, the evaluator will be replaced.
Journal of the Academy has a format that contains questions with carefully defined criteria, which the evaluator must answer about the article being evaluated. As stated, during the evaluation, both the names of the authors and the evaluators will be kept completely anonymous.
Editorial Responsibilities
The editorial team of the Journal of the Academy, with the participation of the International Editorial and Scientific Committees, is responsible for defining editorial policies so that the journal complies with the standards that allow it to position itself as an internationally indexed publication. Continual review of these parameters ensures that the journal improves and meets the expectations of the academic community.
Just as Editorial Rules are published, which the Journal of the Academy expects to be fully complied with, it must also publish corrections, clarifications, rectifications and give justifications when the situation warrants it.
The team is responsible for publishing the articles. Their selection will always be based on criteria of originality, quality, rigorous research, potential for reflection and transformation of social and cultural educational practices. When an article is rejected, the justification to the author must be oriented to those same aspects.
The Editor is responsible for the process of all articles submitted to the Journal Academy, and must develop confidentiality mechanisms for the duration of the peer review process until publication or rejection.
When the journal receives complaints of any kind, the team must respond promptly in accordance with the Standards established by the publication, and in the event that the claim warrants it, they must ensure that the appropriate investigation tending to the resolution of the problem.
When a lack of accuracy is recognized in published content, the Editorial Committee will be consulted, and corrections and / or clarifications will be made on the website of the journal.
As soon as a number of the Journal of the Academy is published, the Editor is responsible for its dissemination and distribution to collaborators, evaluators and entities with which exchange agreements have been established, as well as national repositories and indexing systems and international. Likewise, the Editor will take care of sending the journal to those who request it, however, it is accessible to all audiences in cyberspace.
PLAGIARISM/SELF-PLAGIARISM ETHICS
All articles submitted to Journal of the Academy, must be original and unpublished. The signing authors will be solely responsible for guaranteeing that their contribution complies with those requirements of the journal and its Ethical Standards.
Journal of the Academy will reject articles that are plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
Reviewers of articles (Double Blind Par) as in the editorial review stage, receive instructions on how to review possible plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Journal of the Academy actively reviews possible plagiarism and self-plagiarism in articles that are submitted for review.
