The ordeal and paralysis at the peruvian university

The Peruvian University had an elitist and conservative character during the colony and much of the Republic, far from science and technology. Between the third and fourth decades of the 20th century, including the reformist movement of Cordova, a qualitative change took place, incorporating the freedom of teaching and university autonomy among other innovations that go through the dissemination and creation of knowledge and that bring it closer to the national reality. The permanent aggression of governments and conservative groups, which not only deny it funding but also block its autonomy, prevent it from fulfilling its founding mission in a calamitous way. The different mechanisms to impede the advance of the university movement, end up in the year 2014 with the promulgation of the counter-reform law 30220, which constitutes a new interventionist stage, that as it has been analyzed in the six years of operation, has paralyzed the University, by imposing a political control on it violating university autonomy.
