Author Guidelines

Text extension of a maximum of 20 pages.

Documents must be sent in Microsoft Word (with a .doc extension).

The first page should include:

Title of the work, not long, that clearly refers to the content.

Author (s).

College or University.

Email address.

From the second page the text will begin. First, an abstract in Spanish, no more than 200 words, as well as five keywords. Title, abstract and keywords must also come in English, without the use of online translators.

The footnotes should only be explanatory, they will only serve to expand or illustrate what has been said in the body of the text, and not to indicate bibliographic sources, in which case they must go in the text according to the following example (Lagomarsino, 2019: 12-14).

About bibliographic references:

They should not be extended unnecessarily, so only the references cited in the text will be included and must comply with the APA system.

General aspects based on APA on the use of typography:

a) Arial at 12 points, with variations in the cases described below.
b) Quotations of more than 40 words will be written without quotation marks, in a separate paragraph, with 11-point font and 1-space spacing (see other details below).
c) In the footnotes the font will be used at 10 points and line spacing at 1 space.
d) It is suggested not to underline unnecessarily.
e) It is recommended to use italics in foreign words and enter their Spanish meaning in quotation marks.
When you want to highlight the sense, nuance or particular tone (different from the literal) of a certain term or expression, you can resort to the use of quotation marks.

About the general format of the document:

a) The line spacing will be 1.5 spaces for the entire document (including titles and subtitles, list of references, indexes).
b) The paragraphs will be justified throughout the document.
c) When the quotations have less than 40 words, they will be included in the text in quotation marks; At the end of these, your reference (First author's last name, year: page) will be entered in parentheses.
d) Quotations of more than 40 words will be incorporated in separate paragraphs with an 11-point font, indents of 1 cm. to the right and left of the paragraph, and the corresponding reference.

On the management of references and the integration of the critical apparatus:

Quotations and references

a) References will be quote in the text in parentheses (Author's last name, year: page) and will be listed at the end of the document, preceded by the following heading with an initial capital letter: Bibliographic references.

About the list of references

a) For the integration of the list of references, the following  recommendations are established by type of document:
a.1 They are arranged alphabetically. When there is more than one work per author, they are written in chronological order starting from the least recent.
a.2 If the information of the document covers more than one line, a French indentation is used where the first line protrudes from the left side. The paragraph formed with the French indentation is called the French paragraph.
